Job Description
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (12MO). The successful candidate will:
  • Serve as a full-time faculty member providing classroom and lab instruction in assigned courses as part of the CAAHEP curriculum.
  • Assess student learning and skills and provide academic advisement.
  • Provide mentorship of senior projects as well as participation in clinical site supervision, student recruitment, and college service.
  • Maintain ARDMS credentials and clinical practice experience.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited U.S. College/University.
  • Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • Prior clinical work experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and strong organizational skills.
  • Or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree.
  • RDCS, RDMS, RVT certifications.
