Position Overview
- Teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum with a strong emphasis on community pharmacy practice, self-care, and patient-centered care
- Play a key role in the College’s Integrated Patient Care (IPC) course series, including clinical skills and simulation-based education
- Maintain a community pharmacy practice site in the Atlanta area
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services within the community setting
- Precept student pharmacists in experiential learning experiences focused on clinical service development and patient care innovation
The workload distribution is 45% teaching, 35% service (including clinical practice), and 20% scholarship.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution and eligibility for pharmacist licensure in Georgia
- Completion of a PGY-1 residency or equivalent community practice experience
- Preferred qualifications include board certification (e.g., BCACP or BCPS), experience providing clinical services in community pharmacy settings, and prior teaching or precepting experience
