Summary
Cypress Physical Therapy is seeking a dynamic licensed Physical Therapist to serve as a Clinical Director. Detail of Duties
- Works with health care provider staff to carry out policies and procedures for the delivery of health care services to patients.
- Establishes the standards of care expected of all health care provider staff.
- Monitors compliance with Quality Assurance Program guidelines and updates and reviews as necessary.Addresses any quality and/or procedural issues with health care provider staff.
- Coordinates and participates in patient chart audits to ensure that appropriate documentation guidelines are being followed.
- Supervises and acts as clinical resource to staff, both clinical and administrative.
- Participates in annual performance review of all clinical personnel.
- Participates in in-services and staff meetings as necessary.Responsible for scheduling of clinical in-services according to needs of staff to ensure compliance with appropriate delivery of care standards, and awareness of advances and developments in treatment protocols in each discipline offered.
- Oversees individual clinical staff development and training.
- Ensures that clinical equipment is maintained in adequate working order and schedules maintenance.
- On a regular and continuous basis, exercises clinical judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results of said judgments.
- Evaluates patients with a variety of diagnoses, establishes treatment plans and formulates goals.
- Performs procedures, modalities, ADL activities and exercise programs indicated by a patient’s condition and functional status. Fabricates orthotics according to patient’s needs.
- Maintains accurate and timely patient records including, but not limited to, progress notes, patient evaluation, re-evaluations, discharge summaries and billing forms.
- Participates in the department’s quality improvement and safety programs as assigned.
- When necessary, co-signs Physical Therapy Assistant documentation after reviewing for content and appropriateness.
- Provides direct and indirect supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants through verbal or written instruction and feedback regarding a patient’s treatment and progress. Also provides information to other medical/allied health personnel regarding a patient’s progress, needs and discharge plan.
- Instructs patient and family in appropriate exercises to continue at home and provides written material as needed for a reference.
Performance Bonus
This position is eligible for a profit-based performance bonus. Bonus eligibility and amount are determined based on individual job performance, achievement of key performance expectations, and overall clinic growth and profitability
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology with master’s preferred.
- Current licensure in practice state.
- Supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
