Job Summary

Responsiblefor efficient and effective functioning of thephysical therapy clinic;responsible forplanning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients;performs administrative, supervisory, and advisory functions.Consults with and performs outreach to local companies to educate in the benefits ofOrthoAtlantaas their provider of choice. Acts as liaison between PT andcommunity employers;is responsible forgrowth and development of these services/programs.Actsa liaison between staff and physicians meeting theneedof the customer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize andoverseesactivities of physical therapy department including ensuring compliance with regulations of governmental and accreditingagencies
  • Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plansin accordance withphysician orders, current standards of care and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients,recommendingand/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments,responsesand progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintain patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets inaccurateandtimelymanner.
  • Facilitates development and monitors department mission,policies and proceduresandgoals
  • Oversee the development/implementation of programs including post offer testing, FCE and pre-employment screening; conducts testingin accordance withstandard practice and within applicablelaws
  • Model a high standard of teamwork,leadershipand professionalism;maintainspatientconfidentiality
  • Development of strategic planning, marketing activities to increaseOrthoAtlanta’svisibility in thecommunity
  • Administer andcomply withall company policies and procedures including infection control and safetypolicies
  • Ensure company’s guideline for billing and collections of department services are adheredto
  • Provides direction toPhysical Therapy,Assistants and Aideswithpatient care and related activities asrequested.
  • Ensure departmentcomplies withtheGeorgiaState Physical Therapy Act,codesand regulations.
  • Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Followsallofthe Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to employer work practices as described in TDC Occupational Blood Born Exposure Plan policy.
  • Establish andmaintaineffective working relationships with physicians,staffand management.
  • Attends meetings asrequested.
  • Providesback upfor administrative staff to include answering phones, schedulingappointmentsand checkinginpatients.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in healthcare or similar
  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
  • Current State of Georgia Physical Therapy license or eligible to receiveone
  • 2 years’ experience as Physical Therapist
  • Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices
  • Ability to build trust with physicians andco-workers
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-pacedenvironment
  • Ability to work as part of ateam
  • Must be able to workindependently
  • Must be detailedoriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Strong senseof discretion and professionalism
