Setting: Outpatient Rehab Clinic

Join our outpatient therapy team in Greensboro, AL as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) . Working under the supervision of a Licensed SLP, you will provide direct speech, language, and communication therapy services to pediatric and adult patients in a collaborative clinical setting.

This role is ideal for a dedicated assistant who thrives in a collaborative, supportive outpatient environment and enjoys working directly with patients to execute goal-driven treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Therapy: Administer prescribed treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP across speech, language, articulation, and AAC areas.

Track Outcomes: Record accurate session data and report patient performance and milestones directly to the supervising clinician.

Engage Patients: Use age-appropriate games, visual schedules, and creative activities to keep pediatric and adult patients motivated.

Manage Resources: Prepare, clean, and adapt therapy tools, clinical materials, and assistive communication equipment.

Document Care: Maintain complete, timely daily session notes adhering to state licensing rules and company guidelines.

Support Clinic Operations: Assist with scheduling, room prep, equipment sanitization, and general clinical support duties.

Collaborate: Partner with supervising SLPs and interdisciplinary team members (OT/PT) to support overall patient progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Associate degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program OR Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Licensure: Active (or eligible for) Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA).

Knowledge of speech, language, and hearing development.

Strong interpersonal, patient-engagement, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to follow clinical directions and treatment plans set by the supervising SLP accurately.

Good organizational skills and comfort using electronic documentation software.
