The Account Leader is in charge of Healthcare accounts in North and South Carolina. The main responsibilities are focused on representing all of Slalom’s services at the assigned account(s), helping set strategic direction, delivering solutions, leading/coaching teams, driving sales, and helping with account management. This is not a fully remote position. To be considered for this position, candidates must live within a commutable distance of our Charlotte, Raleigh, or Columbia locations. We are hiring at the Sr Principal or Director level.What You'll Do* Expand and strengthen Slalom's presence within assigned payer and health insurance accounts by developing trusted executive relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.* Partner with senior client leaders to influence strategic direction, identify growth opportunities, and shape transformation initiatives that advance organizational objectives across the healthcare payer ecosystem.* Drive revenue responsibility of $2-6M+ annually (dependent on level) through account growth, solution development, and strategic client engagement.* Maintain a utilization target of 40-60% (dependent on level).* Identify opportunities to grow and mature Slalom's offerings within payer organizations, including areas such as member experience, care management, provider engagement, operations modernization, digital transformation, and data & analytics.* Serve as a trusted advisor to payer executives navigating industry challenges, including regulatory changes, value-based care, rising healthcare costs, evolving consumer expectations, and healthcare interoperability initiatives.* Provide executive oversight and governance across all sold and managed engagements to ensure delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and long-term account growth.* Drive business development efforts by developing solution strategies, creating Statements of Work (SOWs), and leveraging industry expertise to position and sell consulting services.* Maintain deep knowledge of payer market trends, emerging healthcare technologies, and industry best practices while collaborating across Slalom's practice areas to deliver integrated client solutions.* Oversee project quality assurance, manage delivery teams, and be responsible for staffing, utilization, and successful engagement outcomes.About You* Minimum 6+ years of account management, client leadership, or business development experience within the healthcare payer industry.* Proven experience partnering with regional or national health plans and navigating complex payer organizations.* Strong understanding of healthcare payer operations, including areas such as claims, care management, member experience, provider network strategy, population health, or payment transformation.* Program and project management experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives.* Previous P&L ownership and accountability for revenue growth and account performance.* Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and influence strategic decision-making.* Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.* Experience identifying, shaping, and closing consulting or professional services opportunities within healthcare organizations.* Ability to operate effectively in complex stakeholder environments and lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.About UsSlalom is a fiercely human business and technology consulting company that leads with outcomes to bring more value, in all ways, always.

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
