Job Description
You're good with people. Really good.
You know how to have a conversation that makes someone feel heard, comfortable, and ready to take a next step. You've probably used that gift in sales — and you're good at it. But somewhere along the way you started wondering if you could use it for something that felt more meaningful than a quota.
That's the job.
At Anchor Point of Hope, we're a Christian faith-based counseling practice serving clients across Michigan — in Brighton, Highland, Ann Arbor, and via telehealth statewide. When someone finally works up the courage to call us and ask for help, the first voice they hear matters enormously. We need that voice to be warm, unhurried, and genuinely good at helping someone take a step they've been putting off for way too long.
We're not looking for a medical receptionist. We're looking for someone with a sales background who wants to do the most important version of that work.
What you'll do:
You'll be the first point of contact for people seeking therapy — helping them feel at ease, understand their options, and get connected to the right clinician. You'll also follow up with people who've expressed interest but haven't taken the next step, manage our clinician profiles on Psychology Today and similar directories, support our website and marketing efforts, and work closely with our leadership team on strategy and execution. You'll attend team meetings, keep our CRM organized, and help make sure no one falls through the cracks.
We'll train you on everything mental health — HIPAA, our CRM, intake processes, insurance basics. What we can't train is the ability to make a nervous person feel at ease in the first 60 seconds of a phone call. That has to come with you.
What winning looks like:
You'll end your week knowing that a handful of people who almost didn't call — who sat with the tab open for three days before finally pressing send — are now sitting across from a therapist because you answered the phone and made them feel like it was going to be okay. That's not a small thing. That's the job, and the right person will feel that every single day.
What we offer:
* $22-$26/hour, depending on experience
* Health insurance contribution
* 4% 401k match
* Paid time off
* A team that genuinely cares about each other
About our culture:
Anchor Point of Hope is a Christian faith-based practice. Our faith shapes how we lead and how we treat each other — you don't have to share it, but you have to be comfortable with it. If a faith-centered workplace sounds like a place you'd thrive, we'd love to hear from you. If it doesn't, this probably isn't the right fit, and that's okay too.
What we're looking for:
* Background in sales, customer success, or client-facing relationship work
* Natural comfort on the phone — warm, conversational, unhurried
* Strong written communication for email and marketing support
* Organized enough to manage a CRM and keep follow-ups from slipping
* Comfortable working remotely and independently
* Genuinely curious about mental health and motivated by meaningful work
Apply now — we're moving quickly.
This kind of role doesn't come up often. If it sounds like you, don't sit on it. Send us a note about your background and why this caught your attention. We read every application and we'll get back to you fast. Company Description
