Client Accounting SpecialistThe Client Accounting Specialist (CAS) is an aircraft owner- and crew-facing role responsible for accurate, timely review and processing of aircraft-related financial transactions. This role supports cash management for individual aircraft owner bank accounts, monthly owner and management reporting packages, accounts payable accuracy, and clear communication with crews, vendors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, comfortable working in modern accounting systems, and able to identify issues, follow up promptly, and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
This position reports to a Client Accounting Director.Essential Responsibilities/DutiesReview vendor invoices and aircraft crew expenses for approvals, accuracy, supporting documentation, and policy complianceAccurately code vendor invoices to the appropriate accounts, cost centers, and expenditure typesCommunicate with crews, vendors, AP Specialists, and internal stakeholders to resolve AP inquiries in a timely and professional mannerPartner with AP Specialists and Client Accounting team members to meet payment, reporting, and month-end deadlinesReview client bank balances daily and escalate funding concerns or unusual activity as appropriateEnter, upload, and maintain invoices and supporting documentation in Oracle FusionIdentify, research, and clarify unusual, duplicate, or questionable invoice itemsGenerate monthly statements and reporting packages for aircraft owners and managementInitiate appropriate invoice approval workflows and ensure required documentation is attachedMonitor AP Aging for assigned aircraft and follow up on outstanding itemsPrepare and process vendor payments via ACH and check in accordance with established proceduresReconcile assigned vendor statements; research and resolve discrepanciesUpload reports and data to the Client Finance Console and other department systemsSupport process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled efficiency initiatives where appropriate and in accordance with company policiesPerform other duties as assigned by department leadershipQualificationsAssociate degree or above in Accounting preferredMinimum of four years of accounting, accounts payable, or related financial operations experienceStrong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and resolve discrepanciesComfortable adapting to new technology, systems, automation, and company growthExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approachAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow through with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; 10-key by touch preferredOracle Fusion experience is a plusStrong work ethic, reliability, discretion, and a positive professional attitudeExperience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) or interest in using AI responsibly to improve accuracy and efficiency is a bonusAdditional InformationSolairus Aviation embraces diversity and equal opportunity.
