Client Accounting Manager

Client Accounting Manager | YHB

YHB is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting and accounting operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, and guide client accounting team members. This role also supports year-end audits, tax preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial statements, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and year-end closing.
• Review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate audit and tax documentation with external professionals.
• Support budgets and forecasts through variance analysis and recommendations.
• Improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
• Delegate assignments, review completed work, and mentor Client Accountants and Specialists.
• Maintain strong client relationships, protect confidential information, and communicate progress and challenges.
• Support professional development and firm growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, processes, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online; certification is beneficial.
• Professional services firm experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality client service.
