This position will be based in our New York office (hybrid) and will perform technical and administrative tasks for the Client Accounting Department while providing information and assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and business services professionals.Coordinates data storage and retrieval for client related documentation.Scans documents using the Firm's PDF programs and indexing system.Retrieves client charges and disbursement back-up using applications such as Aderant and other document archiving systems.Assists with conducting audits of Aderant Expert Image databases.Assists with updating and maintaining various reports on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Actively seeks to enhance knowledge of all Client Accounting procedures and processes.Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.Manages Firm resources responsibly.Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systemsAbility to interpret and follow instructionsDemonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writingDemonstrates close attention to detailAbility to handle multiple projects and shifting prioritiesAbility to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentialityAbility to organize and prioritize workAbility to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environmentAbility to work well independently as well as effectively within a teamFlexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needsEducation and Experience RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of six months general experienceCulture & Life at SkaddenWhat makes Skadden special is our people and the culture, community and spirit of collaboration we have created.
