Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping needs of multiple clients, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting while acting as a trusted accounting resource.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Generate monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Communicate with clients to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure adherence to accounting best practices and internal processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or client accounting experience
- Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
- Strong communication skills in a remote environment
