Job Description

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned clients
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Post and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
• Prepare and assist with month-end close procedures
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Ensure timely financial reporting

• Client Communication & Advisory Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding financial data and transactions
  • Assist clients with financial systems and accounting software usage
  • Support leadership with financial analysis and reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

• Compliance & Controls
  • Maintain internal controls and documentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Support audit preparation as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger management
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Experience working in an accounting firm or managing multiple clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with financial reporting and month-end close processes
• Experience with payroll platforms and sales tax filings
