Clerical Assistant 2 PositionThe Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is looking for a Clerical Assistant 2 who enjoys teamwork and staying organized. In this position, you will help manage office tasks, support park operations, and assist with training and communication. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a mission-focused agency that serves visitors and protects natural spaces.This position supports the administrative and operational needs of the park by assisting with clerical work, staff coordination, and public communication.As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:Office Coordination: Support the Aspira reservation system, assist volunteers, relay new procedures, and help staff access park computer systemsAdministrative Support: Handle clerical tasks involving operations, human resources, payroll, revenue, and training while managing confidential issuesPublic Interaction: Answer calls, greet visitors, interpret park rules, and handle public relations challenges with sound judgmentRecord Management: Maintain park files, process payroll and leave entries, prepare schedules, and organize employee information accuratelyFiscal Assistance: Help collect revenue, process refunds, analyze receipts, and support budget preparation and expenditure trackingCommunication Duties: Operate the base radio system, dispatch vehicles, respond to routine transmissions, and act as a contact point during emergenciesWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Days and shifts will vary. Will work 5 days/37.5 hrs per week to include holidays and weekendsTelework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
