Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in preschool settings or with school-age children
• Background in behavioral support, including comfort assisting students with behavioral needs
• Ability to help with personal care, including changing diapers and general hygiene tasks
• For Assistant roles, a valid New York State Teaching Assistant Certification is required
• For Aide roles, experience in preschools or behavior-focused settings is strongly preferred
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to engage with young learners in a supportive manner

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a preschool student throughout the school day
• Implement behavioral strategies and follow individualized support plans as directed by teaching staff
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and routines to foster social and academic growth
• Encourage independence and participation while ensuring student safety and comfort
• Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to monitor progress and address needs

This assignment takes place in a welcoming educational environment for the entirety of the academic year, with a consistent weekly schedule of 32.5 hours for optimal work-life balance.
