Position Summary:

Manages a YSLLP middle school classroom on select days

Tutors students
-
Occasionally assist with student recruitment for YSLLP programming

Collects data
Responsibilities:
-
Checks attendance every period and maintains accurate records in YSLPP room
-
Checks school attendance against YSLPP attendance and reports discrepancies to the main office
-
Maintains orderly environment
-
Tutors students in math, science and all other core subjects
-
Occasionally coordinates/participates in community service activities and keeps accurate records for each student's community service hours

May perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, pursuing secondary education certification or Master's degree preferred
Skills/Abilities:

Ability to tutor middle school subject levels

Multi-tasking

Strong organizational skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to relate to students of all ages and ethnic groups

Strong computer skills

Possession of a valid U.S. drivers license that will meet insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria, preferred
Supervisory Responsibility:

- This position may occasionally involve travel using a University owned or University rented vehicle
