Make a meaningful impact in students' lives by taking on a key support role as a Paraprofessional Virtual Facilitator for the remainder of the school year. This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through late May 2027. Working on-site in the Kansas City area, you'll be an essential advocate for students, ensuring smooth collaboration between virtual service providers such as Speech-Language Pathologists and Special Education teachers and the students receiving their support.
Your days will be spent across one or two campuses, helping supervise, motivate, and maintain a positive, safe learning environment. You'll assist students with staying on task during virtual sessions, help troubleshoot technology issues, and respond to a range of student needs-including providing encouragement and behavioral support. Your experience in a classroom setting will empower you to balance flexibility with consistency, maintaining engagement while upholding school standards.
Key qualifications:

• Paraprofessional experience, preferably supporting virtual service delivery
• Background working directly with students in classroom settings
• Proficiency with common computer and video conferencing technology
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive student relationships
• Dedication to promoting student safety and engagement

Primary responsibilities:

• Monitor and guide student participation during virtual service sessions
• Support technology set-up, connection, and troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and distraction-free classroom space
• Provide general behavioral and academic support as needed
• Communicate clearly with on-site and virtual educators regarding student needs
