Make an immediate impact in an educational setting by supporting students' growth as an on-site Virtual Facilitator Paraprofessional. In this contract role located near Lenexa, KS, you'll act as an essential bridge between virtual service providers (including SLPs, SPED teachers, and others) and the students they serve in the classroom.
Your ability to connect with students, foster engagement, and support day-to-day classroom needs will be crucial. Working at one or possibly two campuses, you'll help ensure a safe, supportive, and technology-enabled learning environment while addressing student needs as they arise. This position runs ASAP through May 20, 2027.
What we're seeking:
- Previous experience in a classroom or educational setting is a must
- Skills in supporting students with a variety of needs, including behavioral support
- Basic technical troubleshooting competence to address minor tech issues in a classroom
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with students and remote service providers
- Ability to adapt to different student personalities and engagement levels
- Organizational skills to maintain a safe and effective environment for all students
- Facilitate real-time connections between students and virtual educators/therapists
- Support technology use in the classroom, assisting with logins and troubleshooting
- Supervise and encourage students to remain attentive and participate fully in virtual sessions
- Address immediate student needs, including monitoring classroom behaviors
- Maintain a safe and positive classroom atmosphere
