Walk To Read Reading Assistant
Instructional Support: Help students understand and complete their daily lessons and academic activities. Material Preparation: Assist teachers in preparing, organizing, and setting up learning materials and classroom activities. Behavior Management: Actively manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement to keep students focused, safe, and on-task. Reading Support: Facilitate small-group reading instruction and targeted literacy interventions during the school's designated reading blocks. Progress Tracking: Help monitor student reading progress and coordinate with the reading specialist or classroom teachers to support student growth.

Strong Communication: The ability to collaborate closely and communicate effectively with classroom teachers, specialists, and school staff. Effective July 1, 2026 Lane 1 Step 1 ($17.88/Hour) Not Highly Qualified Lane 2 Step 1 ($18.88/Hour) Associate's degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.94/Hour) Current/Former Licensed Teacher ( Highly Qualified Information) Salary Schedules
