Classroom Assistant - Baggaley Elementary School
Hourly Rate: $19.25, with individual benefits
Responsibilities
Collaborative Teamwork:
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to meet the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs of students.
  • Contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive elementary learning environment.
Instructional Support:
  • Assist the lead teacher with small-group and individual instruction.
  • Reinforce classroom lessons, activities, and learning objectives as directed by the teacher.
  • Provide additional guidance and encouragement to students who need support.
Student Supervision:
  • Assist with student supervision during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, specials, and other school-related activities.
  • Promote appropriate student behavior and positive peer interactions.
Classroom Support:
  • Help prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and maintain an orderly learning environment.
  • Assist students with daily routines, classroom procedures, and independent work.
Communication and Student Support:
  • Communicate student needs, concerns, and progress observations to the classroom teacher.
  • Support consistent implementation of classroom expectations and individual student plans, as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher.
Compassion and Patience:
  • Ability to create a caring, positive, and encouraging atmosphere for elementary students.
Strong Communication Skills:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, teachers, staff members, and families.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
  • Willingness to adjust to changing student needs, classroom routines, and school responsibilities.

  • Dedication to helping all students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
