Qualifications & Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related role assisting children or students preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations, including those with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and students
- Patience, adaptability, and a caring, team-oriented attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a related certification beneficial
- Provide direct academic and behavioral support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation, instructional activities, and facilitating classroom routines
- Support the individual needs and accommodations for students with developmental, learning, or physical challenges
- Help monitor student engagement, encourage participation, and maintain a positive learning environment
- Foster students' independence, social skills, and self-esteem through guided practice and consistent encouragement
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and report observations to the instructional team
- Experience fulfilling, hands-on work with students that directly shapes their growth and success
