Class C - Delivery Driver

Job Full Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Class C Driver to deliver and pick up customer-owned products using a heavy-duty pickup truck or box truck. This position requires safe driving, accurate handling of parts and documentation, and professional interaction with customers and co-workers.
The ideal candidate has a clean DMV record, mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, lift gates, and pallet jacks.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive a heavy-duty pickup or box truck safely.
• Operate a forklift, lift gate, and pallet jack as required.
• Follow a daily route to deliver and pick up customer-owned products.
• Ensure all parts, containers, and associated documentation are accounted for before departing on and upon returning from each day's delivery route.
• Safely load, unload, secure, and handle products during deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup documentation.
• Interact professionally and effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Assist the Shipping and Receiving Department when feasible and practicable.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating instructions.

Skills and Experience

• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Ability to safely operate a heavy-duty pickup or up to a 16' box truck.
• Clean DMV driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
• Previous delivery, driving, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow directions and established procedures.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED.
