Claims Supervisor
Supervises, trains, and monitors the activities of assigned claims adjusters and other claims personnel. Assists the Claims Leadership in the overseeing and handling of claims. There is 1 job opening in the West region (will report to Wisconsin or Illinois branch office). This is an in-office position with hybrid flexibility. This position will be supervising Property Specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages overall operations of designated area of authority.
- Interviews, hires, trains, and directs personnel.
- Prepares and conducts performance assessments, coordinates discipline and oversees Employee development as required.
- Reviews claims on a regular basis in accordance with company policy.
- Reviews adjusters' files for coverage and adequate reserves, acts as a resource for answering claims questions, provides additional services as required and takes action as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six years of claims related experience required; or
- Associate degree and four years of claims related experience required; or
- Bachelor's degree and two years of claims related experience required.
- Experience using estimating software preferred.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
- Appropriate license(s) as required by applicable state(s), including the ability to secure and maintain dual or multiple licenses as business needs require.
- Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for this role.
- Driving; Occasional (<20%)
