Our group of caring associates create financial security by helping individuals and businesses make a new start when a loss occurs.Job DescriptionThis Bodily Injury Claims Specialist handles bodily injury and general liability claims through their life-cycle including - but not limited to - investigation, evaluation, claim resolution and coverage analysis. The purpose of this position is to provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.

Work is performed under general supervision.ResponsibilitiesInvestigate, determine coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, analyze legal liability, and make payments in accordance with coverage, damage, and liability determination, under general guidance from leadership, injury claimsAnalyze and interpret policy coverage and determine liability and damagesNegotiate claim settlements in accordance with company procedures and within authority limitsDeliver a high level of customer service to all relevant parties on a claim including but not limited to insureds, claimants, agents, and attorneysObtain and maintain appropriate adjuster's license(s) as requiredAssist in the evaluation and selection of outside counsel under general guidance from leadershipTravel to participate in training, meetings, investigations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trialsHandle confidential information according to Company standards and in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsDrive an automobile, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain a driving record consistent with the Company's underwriting guidelines for coverageMaintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work locationRequirementsBachelor's degree or the equivalent through a combination of education, training, and/or experience is requiredA minimum of two years of experience of any combination as a Branch Claims Representative 1, Branch Claims Representative 2, or a similar job is required5+ years of experience adjusting third-party liability claimsAbility to read, interpret, and react to documents such as insurance policies, procedure manuals, and legal documentsAbility to assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions using sound reasoning and judgmentAbility to communicate, in both verbal and written formats, in a polite, clear, concise, and accurate wayProblem resolution and interpersonal skillsAbility to write reports and compose correspondenceAbility to tactfully and effectively deal with a diverse set of individualsAbility to organize assigned workAbility to maintain a professional imageAptitude for learning and applying medical terminology associated with assigned claimsAptitude for learning and following proper court proceduresAptitude for learning to interpret and properly react to legal documentsBenefitsAt the Concord Group, we're proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the wellbeing of our associates. In addition to this, we offer other components like bonus opportunities.
