TCR is part of the development platform of Crow Holdings, a privately owned real estate investment and development firm with over 75 years of history, $34 billion of assets under management, and an established platform with a vision for continued success.The Claims Manager supports TCR's risk management function through the management of insurance claims and related litigation across development, construction, and operational activities. This role serves as a key liaison among business leaders, Legal, insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, and outside counsel to ensure timely claim resolution, effective litigation management, and proactive risk mitigation. The position combines deep technical claims expertise with strong relationship management and communication skills.

This role will report to the Director of Risk Management and will be based in our Dallas office.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage the full lifecycle of general liability, property, construction, and other insurance claims arising from the company's multifamily development, construction, and operational activitiesCoordinate and oversee claims investigations, coverage analysis, reserving discussions, and claim resolution strategiesPartner closely with Legal, insurers, brokers, third-party administrators, and outside counsel on litigated mattersMonitor and manage commercial claims litigation, including strategy discussions, reporting, document preservation, discovery support, and settlement coordinationIdentify trends in claim activity and recommend risk mitigation and loss prevention initiativesSupport business leaders throughout the claims process and provide guidance on incident reporting and documentation requirementsAnalyze claim data and develop reports for senior leadership regarding claim trends, exposure, and financial impactsAssist with insurance renewals by providing claims history, loss runs, and exposure informationSupport insurance recovery efforts and complex coverage mattersMaintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders while delivering a high level of responsiveness and customer serviceDesired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field5+ years of commercial claims management experience, preferably within real estate, construction, insurance, or a related industrySignificant experience managing commercial claims litigation and coordinating with outside counselStrong understanding of insurance coverage, claims handling practices, and litigation processesExperience working with carriers, brokers, and third-party administratorsExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and sound judgmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
