Claims Customer Service Representative

Providing empathetic and professional service, the full-time Claims Customer Service Representative will be the initial point of contact for claimants and policyholders regarding life and supplemental health claims, handling calls, processing claims, and documenting interactions while primarily working remotely with occasional office visits in Binghamton, NY or Houston, TX. Key responsibilities Respond to incoming and return calls regarding life and supplemental health claims in a timely and courteous manner Process first notice of loss by gathering accurate information and initiating claims in the appropriate system Document all interactions and outcomes in the appropriate systems while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to established procedures Required qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the insurance industry or a call center environment Associate's degree in business or a related field Experience in health insurance customer service is preferred Fluency in Spanish is a plus Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
