CL - Internet / Web Engineer - Consultant

Job TitleThis assignment will support SCDMV web service and website development and troubleshooting. Projects include SCDMV on-line service design and development, web site redesign and integration, external business-to-business web service design, enhancement, and support. Requires expertise in web certificate processing and management and secure communications.

Some production troubleshooting support will be expected so some level of production support experience is desirable. Candidate must be a US citizen and CJIS certifiable.Daily duties/responsibilities:Analyze the SCDMV Phoenix II and web applicationsTake the lead in analyzing and troubleshooting assigned system problemsCoordinate and work with other developers and business units to propose solutions to problems and projectsWork with vendors to integrate their systems with SCDMV systemsPlan, code, document, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirementsAssist other SCDMV IT areas to support day to day operationsDiagnose problems using logs, event viewers, and user interaction to provide support and resolutionsProvide daily and weekly status to the development managerRequired skills (rank in order of importance):Microsoft.NET architecture and programmingMS web service architecture and programming including RESTful API, SOAP, WCF and MVC.Business to business web service interface architecture.User interface programming.Windows workstation programming and programming against device driver APIs.Visual Studio 2015 - 2022VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, WCF, Web APIMS Internet Information Systems (IIS) architecture and support.Web security.RDBMS (Oracle and SQL)Experience with UNIX, Windows, Linux, MacOS, Cisco, Juniper, web apps, databases, strong authentication, operating systems and network security protocols and procedures.C/C++Preferred skills (rank in order of importance):Web service troubleshooting and production support experienceMicrosoft Team Foundation ServerMicrosoft OfficeExperience with motor vehicle administration or similar government sector.Required education: Prefer bachelor's degree in information technology related discipline with 8 years of experience or minimum 10 years related experience.Required certifications: Not required but MS technical certifications will be factored in the selection process.
