Position Summary
We are seeking a Civil Superintendent to oversee all aspects of civil construction on utility-scale solar projects. This role represents the Contractor in the field, ensuring quality assurance, compliance with design and engineering standards, and effective sub-contractor oversight throughout the civil construction phase.
Responsibilities
- Monitor civil construction for compliance with project drawings, specifications, and engineering standards
- Verify contractor adherence to approved quality control plans and procedures
- Produce daily reports, photo documentation, and inspection records
- Identify, document, and report non-conformance issues
- Collaborate with project management, engineering teams, and contractor personnel
- Monitor contractor safety practices and escalate concerns when necessary
- Support punch list development, deficiency resolution, and project closeout
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction inspection experience in energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Experience in civil works such as grading, drainage systems, road construction, and large-scale utility solar projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria
- Strong documentation, communication, and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Experience with renewable energy projects or utility-scale infrastructure
- OSHA 30 certification
