Civil Structural

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer licensed in Illinois, with 15+ years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas, refining, and petrochemical facilities.

The candidate should have experience working in compliance with local codes and standards, project design basis, and client-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on Oil & Gas midstream/downstream facilities and petrochemical projects, including FEED and detailed engineering.
• Review engineering drawings, documents, and calculations for compliance with applicable codes and requirements.
• Certify engineering deliverables using an Illinois SE stamp.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements.
• Manage internal data flow and design changes.
• Provide value engineering ideas and alternative design solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Visit project sites for short-term assignments of a couple of weeks, depending on project requirements.
• Support project schedule preparation and coordinate timelines with clients.
• Perform and review civil, structural, and mechanical engineering designs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 15+ years of engineering experience.
• Active Illinois Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, refining, midstream/downstream, or petrochemical facilities.
• FEED and detailed engineering project experience.
• Strong knowledge of local codes, standards, project design basis, and client-specific requirements.
• Experience with:
  • Foundation calculations
  • Underground facilities
  • Equipment layouts
  • Structural steel drawings
  • Plot plans
  • General Arrangement (GA) drawings
• Strong engineering/project coordination and client interface management skills.

Required Software Skills

• STAAD Pro.
• Revit.
• AutoCAD 2D.
• Navisworks (3D model reviews).
