CISO - Chief Information Security Officer

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Location: Employment Type: Contract Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | 40 hours per week

CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for an onsite contract opportunity supporting our public-sector client in Glendale, Arizona. This role will lead the organization's cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, compliance, and security operations to protect enterprise systems, networks, and sensitive data.

Develop and lead enterprise cybersecurity strategies, policies, and programs. Direct security risk assessments and oversee plans to address vulnerabilities. Oversee compliance with applicable cybersecurity regulations, standards, and internal policies. Oversee security monitoring, vulnerability management, and threat detection. Guide security awareness and organizational risk management practices. Present cybersecurity risks, program performance, and recommendations to executive leadership.

Extensive experience in information security and senior cybersecurity leadership. Strong experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and security policy development. Experience overseeing security operations, incident response, and threat management. Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, controls, and risk mitigation. Excellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Public-sector, government, municipal, or other regulated-industry experience preferred. Previous experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Director of Information Security, or equivalent preferred. This position requires working onsite in Glendale, AZ, Monday through Friday.
