Roles and Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network equipment.
- Perform Cisco switch deployment, configuration, rack-and-stack, and decommissioning activities.
- Support campus network infrastructure across facility, telecom, and lab environments.
- Troubleshoot Layer 2 networking issues and operational network problems.
- Coordinate with vendors for network equipment installation and support.
- Support network implementation projects and day-to-day operational activities.
- Assist with network monitoring and troubleshooting using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Maintain accurate network and deployment documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to support project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- CCNA certification required.
- 5+ years of experience supporting campus network environments.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and deploying Cisco switches.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking concepts.
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, particularly the 9300 series.
- Experience with switch deployment, configuration, rack-and-stack, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Arista switches, particularly the 7050 series.
- Experience working in large enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with Cacti and SolarWinds Orion.
- Experience supporting production/operational network environments in addition to project implementations.
- CCNP or CCIE certification is a plus.
