CHOREOGRAPHER (FALL MUSICAL)

Choreographer Position

The Choreographer will support teachers and students in Drama. Scope of Duties: Lead dance rehearsals with cast for Spring Musical Assisting with instruction, assessment, and logistics (concerts, performances, showcases, etc.) as determined by the theater director. Job Responsibilities: Facilitate student involvement Rehearse groups of students as needed in the areas of choreography/dance, music, or acting Provide extra support for students Support and assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans & rehearsals Monitor, document, and report on activities as needed Desired Skills and Experience: Artistic Background Professional or Industry Experience in Drama, Music, or Dance (performance, teaching, etc.) Background and/or familiarity with theater, dance, or music Experience working with grade 6-12 students Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, including youth and adults Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking skills Ability to work independently and be flexible
