Job Title
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on central plant equipment, including chillers, pumps, motors, valves, cooling towers, controls, fans, and related mechanical systems.
- Assist with the overhaul and rebuild of centrifugal chillers (preferred experience).
- Safely execute rigging and equipment relocation activities in accordance with industry standards.
- Coordinate recommended repairs from initial assessment through project completion while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and customers.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergency service requests.
- Perform equipment testing, programming, startup, commissioning, and system verification for new and existing installations.
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for chillers, cooling towers, and central plant systems.
- Complete scheduled daily, monthly, and routine preventive maintenance activities within established timelines.
- Diagnose mechanical and control system issues and provide effective troubleshooting and repair solutions.
- Deliver technical support for all installed equipment while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Attend required safety meetings and consistently follow company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Partner with the Chiller Field Supervisor to address customer needs, identify service opportunities, and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of journeyman-level experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on field experience.
- Commercial and/or industrial HVAC service experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of chillers, HVAC systems, and central plant operations.
- Experience servicing large-tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency service.
- EPA Certification required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
