nThe KidStrong Childrens Coach - Role and Schedule Details:
nWe are looking for a coach with athletic or coaching experience who ideally has experience coaching kids ages 12 months to 11 years old.
nKidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from the evolving monthly curriculum
nThe ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum
nOur classes run typically weekdays, 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8 am through lunch/noon.
nOpportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.
nAdditional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.
nPrior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus but not required!
nKidstrong Childrens Coach Responsibilities:
nCoach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
nTeach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
nMust be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
nGreet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class
nMaintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the class
nDemonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
nEnsure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
nEffectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
nCommunicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
nComplete training through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
nMust be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
nMust be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
nAssist parents of students ages three and younger with the direction and flow of a class
nAttend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum
nAttend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the KidStrong Director
nLearn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example Winter Break, Summer Break)
nMust obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team
nAttend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month’s curriculum
nKidStrong Childrens Coach Qualifications:
nPassion for working with children is non-negotiable!
nPrior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
nPrior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
nIntermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
nCPR certified
nPositive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
nSelf-starter who just gets a job done
