We want to attract and retain the best educators by providing them a supportive & collaborative culture and the tools they need to be successful in their respective roles.ResponsibilitiesOversee and support teachers in the infant/first steps program in developing and implementing core and enrichment curriculumSupport and/or create class and enrichment schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels per school & state policiesLeading and/or supporting with teacher observations, training, coaching and orientationAdvancing physical and intellectual competence by adapting program activities to meet the individual needs of the childrenCommunicating appropriately and professionally with both parents and fellow staff membersProviding positive guidance by supporting social and emotional developmentEstablishing positive and productive relationships with familiesUnderstanding and implementing Goddard's Health & Safety proceduresParticipating in recommended training programs, conferences and other aspects of professional developmentOverseeing and managing program compliance to Goddard QAOverseeing and supporting classroom functions and operations including daily reports, Tadpoles, Teaching Strategies Gold, Portfolios, etc.Other tasks and projects as assignedRequirementsA 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field (will consider relevant experience and/or management experience)A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential, and an additional 12 semester hours or continuing education units in courses related to young children birth to age 8 and 2 years (3120 clock hours) of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool, and 1 year of management experienceManagement experience in a licensed childcare center or preschoolMinimum of 18 ECE creditsMust be able to work between the hours of 7:00AM– 6:00PMStrong written and verbal communication skillsGeneral QualificationsMeet the state qualifications and those set forth in the national hiring standards including-Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aidAbility to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lensesAbility to speak and be understood under normal circumstancesAbility to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergenciesAbility to respond immediately to emergency situationsBenefitsThe Goddard School of Watertown offers full time employees competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package including:Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancePTO401KEducation ReimbursementCareer Advancement and CoachingBonusDiscountsOtherThe Goddard School of Watertown is an EOE
