Child Safety Operations Lead, Americas - Trust and Safety
This role involves managing a team dedicated to the detection and removal of online child endangerment content, including sexual abuse and exploitation, in collaboration with Legal, Policy, and Product teams. The candidate will handle global escalations, coordinate with law enforcement, and develop operational processes to ensure product safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Child Safety Operations Specialists, ensuring operational effectiveness and team development.
- Evaluate risk, threats, and user safety in time-sensitive escalations, making quick decisions on graphic or sensitive content.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners, including law enforcement, to ensure user safety.
- Manage urgent escalations and law enforcement requests, maintaining clear communication with relevant teams.
- Identify organizational problems and develop programs and processes to address them, including regular reporting.
- Improve operational workflows through process enhancements and automation opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in operations management, with at least 2 years in leadership of Trust & Safety or investigative teams.
- Experience reviewing or managing sensitive content involving minors, including child exploitation material.
- Proven project management skills and ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and adapt communication styles.
- Availability to work weekends on a rotational basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in crisis management, law enforcement, or government agencies.
- Knowledge of child safety policies and legislation.
- Experience with social media, analytical tools, and open-source investigations.
