Child Neurologist

Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a Child Neurologist to join their well-established and respected specialty group. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive child neurological care to a pediatric population of over 300,000, with full support from pediatric hospitalists and intensivists. The position also includes academic pursuits as a faculty member of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, participating in both pediatrics and neurology residency programs.

• On-site outpatient/inpatient EEG capabilities with video EEG monitoring available provided by inpatient EEG technicians.
• Clinically-oriented child neurology practice with opportunity for academic pursuits as faculty of Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
• Shared call coverage is primarily remote consultative call during the evening and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive child neurological care to a pediatric population of over 300,000 within Carilion Children's primary and secondary service areas in western Virginia.
• Participate in both pediatrics and neurology residency programs.

Compensation

• Salary Range, $312,687 to $329,085.
• Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.
• Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary.

• Incentive Pay: Yes, two tier bonus plans.

Requirements

• Candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Neurology or Board Certified in Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology.
