Community Impact Programs is now hiring for the part-time Child Care Certification Specialist!


CIP is a non-profit organization working closely with communities to provide services in foster care, youth justice, and child welfare.


JOB SUMMARY:


The Resource Development (RD) program with Community Impact Programs is responsible for recruiting and retaining foster parents and childcare providers for the Kenosha County Division of Social Services. As the Child Care Certification Specialist, you will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of in-home day care providers in Kenosha County.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHILD CARE CERTIFICATION SPECIALIST:



  • Conduct certification home visits and ensure that applicants are in compliance with Wisconsin State requirements.

  • Coordinate and facilitate new provider orientation and provide application materials.

  • Investigate day care rules and regulation concerns as needed.

  • Conduct home visits as needed to ensure providers are in compliance with Wisconsin State requirements.

  • Report provider updates to the Kenosha County Child Care Coordination Unit and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development-Office of Child Care.

  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with providers, Kenosha County Child Care Coordination Unit, Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development-Office of Child Care, and other agencies.

  • Data entry into the Child Care Provider Certification web-based program to complete provider certification.

  • Answer calls to support Child Care providers with questions or concerns regarding Day Care Certification.


LOCATION:


Office is located in Kenosha, WI; local travel throughout Kenosha County will be required, with mileage reimbursement


SCHEDULE:


Part-time 20 hours per week; schedule may include evenings and/or weekends as needed


PAY RATE:


$19.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must have a completed Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.

  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
