HYBRID REMOTE: You will work in office, in the community, in office and work-from-home weekly! Our team works from our two main offices in DTLA and Lynwood.

Amanecer aims to remove the barriers that have historically kept underserved and marginalized populations from seeking and receiving vital mental health care services. We empower underserved kids, adults, and domestic abuse victims to overcome barriers and significant life challenges through culturally competent, comprehensive mental health, psychiatric, and case management services. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As the Child and Family Specialist, you will provide direct services to children and families as identified in an individualized treatment plan and may function as a member of a child and family team. The Child and Family Specialist is responsible for working with children and their families in their home/out-of-home placements and their respective communities.

• Partner with children and families to implement individualized service plans, providing hands-on support with daily living skills, parenting education, behavior management, home management, and community resource connections.
• Advocate for and empower families through family-centered practices, promoting engagement, informed decision-making, and culturally responsive support.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support when service plans are disrupted, collaborating with families and service providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Remove barriers to access by providing transportation support, connecting children and families to critical services, appointments, and community resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:

• BA/BS Degree in social services or related field highly preferred, but equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet qualifications for this position.
• 1-3 years of experience working directly with children and families with serious mental and behavorial health issues.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking required.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and ability to meet the company's eligibility requirements for driving roles.

• Ability to work well within a team atmosphere.
