Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Northwell Health is seeking a part-time (0.8 FTE) BE/BC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing school mental health team in Westchester County. This unique opportunity involves serving as a consultant psychiatrist in partnering school districts, providing formal psychiatric evaluations on-site or virtually. The role is supported by a multidisciplinary team at the Behavioral Health Center, offering urgent assessments and short-term crisis care.

• Part-time (0.8 FTE) position

• Clinical team includes physicians, psychologists, mental health counselors, care coordinators and administrative support
• Travel includes partnering school districts in Westchester County

Responsibilities

• Provide formal psychiatric evaluations in the schools on site or virtually
• Provide clinical care for students
• Provide consultation to schools
• Offer professional and community education
• Offer curricular support
• Offer care coordination to the participating school districts
