Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Northwell Health is seeking a part-time board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist to join its growing school mental health team in Nassau and Suffolk County. This unique opportunity involves serving as a consultant psychiatrist within partnering school districts, providing formal psychiatric evaluations both on-site and virtually. The role offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary team at the Behavioral Health Center, focusing on urgent assessments and short-term crisis care for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal psychiatric evaluations in the schools on site or virtually.
• Provide clinical care for students.
• Provide consultation to schools.
• Offer professional and community education.
• Offer curricular support.
• Offer care coordination to participating school districts.

Compensation

• Nationally competitive salaries.
• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
