Child Abuse Pediatrics - Division Head

The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full‑time non‑tenure‑eligible Associate Professor or Professor for the role of Division Head in the Division of Child Abuse Pediatrics. The Division Head is responsible for all patient care, research, education, advocacy, and administrative aspects of the division's work. As the leader of the division, the Division Head serves a critical role in defining and executing the division's strategic imperatives in the clinical, research, education, and advocacy domains that work toward identification and prevention of child abuse.

The individual will guide the division's clinical needs and further partnerships, lead all research activities and grow the division's research profile, support faculty and fellow mentorship, uphold a culture of educational excellence, and ensure faculty participation in the division's child abuse fellowship program and other medical education training programs. The Division Head will act as the representative in interactions with department leadership, hospital administration, external groups, and donors, and will oversee divisional operations, philanthropy, and grant funding in partnership with the Division Administrator. Mid‑career faculty who may need additional leadership support are also encouraged to apply.

Qualified candidates will possess outstanding clinical and teaching skills, be board‑certified in child abuse pediatrics, and have a track record in child abuse pediatrics or related research. Salary is commensurate with rank and experience. The expected base pay range is $298,230 to $353,622.
