About Blankett

Blankett builds agentic security and managed intelligence for businesses at scale. Our

products include AI agents that automate IT and security work, document and forms

automation, and a suite of post-quantum resilience tools, including our PQ Seal.

We are a small, fast-moving team with strong backing. Over the next two years we are

expanding into managed IT services, putting our products in front of hundreds of client

businesses. We need an engineering leader who can build for that scale from day one.

The role

The Chief Software Engineer owns everything Blankett ships. You will lead our codebase,

tooling and products, and make sure every release is tested, secure and reliable before it

reaches a customer. This is a hands-on role. You will write code every day, set the engineering standard, and grow a small team (a Software Engineering Lead and a data scientist) around you. You will partner closely with our security and compliance lead on agentic systems and post-

quantum work.

What you'll do

Own Blankett's codebase, repositories and developer tooling end to end

Ship our products, including agentic automation, forms and data extraction, and post-

quantum tools, to customers on a steady release cadence

Set up testing, code review, CI/CD and release practices so every launch is clean and

working

Design systems that can serve hundreds of client businesses and thousands of end

users

Merge and simplify multiple technology stacks as Blankett brings new businesses

onto its platform

Work with our security and compliance lead to build security into everything we ship

Lead and mentor a Software Engineering Lead and a data scientist, and tell us when

the team needs to grow

Required qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering, including 3+ years as a tech lead, staff

or principal engineer

A track record of shipping and running production software used by real customers at

scale

Strong skills in at least one modern backend language (such as Python, TypeScript, Go

or Rust)

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), containers and

CI/CD pipelines

Experience building with LLMs or AI agents, including APIs, orchestration and

evaluation

A solid grasp of secure coding, identity and access management, and data protection

Experience at a well-known tech company, a high-growth startup, or both

Clear communication with non-technical teammates, customers and investors

Nice to have

Experience with post-quantum cryptography, especially the NIST standards (ML-

KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA)

Hands-on work with cryptographic libraries such as liboqs, OpenSSL, BoringSSL or

libsodium

Experience with PKI, digital certificates, digital signatures and key management

(including HSMs or cloud KMS)

Experience moving systems to new cryptography ("crypto-agility" or post-quantum

migration projects)

Knowledge of TLS, zero-trust architecture and digital identity standards

A degree in computer science, mathematics or physics, or published work in

cryptography or security

Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 or

NIST CSF

Experience with managed IT or MSP tools such as remote monitoring and

management, PSA or endpoint security platforms
