Chief Public Health Enforcement Counsel

The Office of General Counsel for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks an attorney to supervise the Enforcement Unit and handle administrative litigation. The role focuses on citywide compliance with health laws, including enforcing childcare, food safety, and disease surveillance rules.

Responsibilities include representing the agency at OATH hearings, drafting briefs and orders, coordinating with program areas, and collaborating with the Law Department and other agencies.
