Chief Physician of Cerebrovascular Division

Houston Methodist Hospital is seeking a visionary neurovascular specialist to lead the Cerebrovascular Division within the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute in the Texas Medical Center. This academic leadership role is ideal for a candidate with strong expertise in cerebrovascular care, clinical/translational research, and program development. The Division Chief will be instrumental in expanding the division's clinical, academic, and research missions, contributing to a nationally recognized center of excellence.

Practice Info

• Serves as Chief Physician of the Cerebrovascular Division within the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute in the Texas Medical Center
• Oversight of outpatient and inpatient stroke services, the TeleStroke program, carotid duplex services, and stroke fellowship training
• Primary academic affiliation to Weill Cornell Medical College
• Direct access to the Houston Methodist Research Institute, including extensive research space, core facilities, and infrastructure supporting investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored research

• Lead and grow the division's clinical, academic, and research missions
• Help shape strategic direction in partnership with department leadership
• Expand clinical trials and translational research
• Mentor faculty and trainees

Requirements

• MD or MD/PhD
• Board certified/eligible in Neurology
• Fellowship training or equivalent expertise in cerebrovascular disease
• Demonstrated success in clinical trials, translational research, and extramural funding
• Proven leadership in program development and academic medicine
• Commitment to education, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration
