About the Company:

Our client is a rapidly growing, mission-driven solar energy company dedicated to helping real estate owners develop solar projects on their buildings. With a current portfolio of 70 projects in development—expected to scale to 200 by year’s end and 500 by 2026—we are seeking a strategic leader to build the operational foundation for sustainable growth.

Position Summary:

The COO will work closely with the Founder & CEO to scale the organization, build a high-performing team, and establish efficient operational frameworks. This role is ideal for a leader passionate about clean energy, team building, and operational excellence within a purpose-driven company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scalable operational strategies to support rapid growth.
• Drive organizational structure development to ensure efficient processes and sustainable expansion.
• Align operations with the company’s mission of benefiting disadvantaged communities through solar energy.
• Oversee project development processes, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion.
• Optimize internal systems, workflows, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, permitting, and interconnection requirements.
• Manage budgets, financial planning, and operational cost efficiencies.
• Work closely with leadership to identify revenue growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee vendor, supplier, and contractor relationships to ensure project success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7+ years of leadership experience in operations, project management, or business strategy, preferably in renewable energy, real estate, or infrastructure.
• Proven experience scaling a company or building operational structures for growth.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and growing teams.
• Deep understanding of solar energy development, permitting, and financial modeling is a plus.
• Passion for clean energy and mission-driven work.
