Chief Operating Officer - Managed Care

We are conducting a confidential search for a Chief Operating Officer to join a leading, mission-driven managed care organization in New York City .

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the COO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and oversee approximately 450 employees across critical operational functions, including:

• Member services and call center operations
• Performance and process improvement
• Program and project management
• Facilities and outsourced services
• Medicaid operations

This highly visible role requires an accomplished managed care executive who can strengthen operational performance, lead large-scale transformation initiatives, improve the member and provider experience, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of senior or executive-level healthcare experience
• 5+ years at the VP, SVP, EVP, Deputy COO, or COO level within a managed care organization
• Extensive knowledge of managed care operations, claims processing, call center operations, and multiple product lines
• Experience leading teams of more than 50 employees
• Strong background in performance improvement, project management, and data-driven decision-making
• Process improvement certification is strongly preferred

Location: New York City – hybrid schedule, with 2–3 days in the office
