We are hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide enterprise-wide operational leadership for a heavy equipment and industrial services organization. This executive will have full accountability for manufacturing, field service, maintenance, logistics, safety, and asset lifecycle management, playing a central role in driving operational excellence, scalability, and profitability within asset-intensive environments. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership team, the COO will align operational strategy with long-term growth objectives, ensuring disciplined execution, safety compliance, and sustainable performance across all operational functions.
Responsibilities
- Provides enterprise-wide operational leadership, ensuring efficiency, safety, reliability, and profitability across all operational units.
- Oversees manufacturing plants, service operations, maintenance and reliability programs, fleet and asset utilization, supply chain and procurement performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leads safety governance, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards, implementing operational transformation focused on cost optimization, productivity, and technology-enabled performance.
- Builds and develops operational leadership teams, establishes succession pipelines, and ensures alignment between operations, finance, engineering, and commercial functions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in heavy equipment manufacturing, industrial services, construction equipment, mining, energy services, or related asset-intensive industries.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-site operational organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational transformation, manage capital-intensive assets, and scale operations while maintaining safety, quality, and reliability.
- Strong background in safety governance, regulatory compliance, and large-scale operations.
- Proven track record of leading through change and aligning operational execution with strategic goals.
- ABachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience with technology-enabled performance improvements and digital transformation in industrial operations.
- Background in asset lifecycle management and predictive maintenance programs.
- Salary ranging from $230,000 to $310,000 USD, based on experience, organizational scale, and complexity.
- Annual performance-based bonus potential of 35% to 55% of base salary.
