Chief Operating Officer (COO)BigRio is seeking a results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our client's executive team in the fast-growing genetics and laboratory services sector. The COO will be responsible for scaling operations, leading cross-functional execution, and ensuring excellence in day-to-day business and lab performance.This role requires proven leadership in operations, HR, supply chain, and revenue cycle management, ideally within healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences. The COO will work closely with the CEO to align operational strategy with company vision and growth objectives.Key responsibilities include:Leading day-to-day operations across lab services, logistics, staffing, and client deliveryOverseeing HR strategy, including hiring, workforce planning, and performance managementManaging revenue cycle processes—billing, reimbursement, and payer relationsDirecting supply chain operations: procurement, inventory, and vendor managementDriving process improvements for scalability, quality, and efficiencyTranslating strategic goals into actionable plans across teamsEnsuring regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA) and quality standardsPartnering with the CEO to align operations with company-wide prioritiesCollaborating with R&D, product, client, and finance to unify executionBuilding KPIs and dashboards to track performance and outcomesDeveloping and leading a high-performing, accountable operations teamQualifications include:10+ years of senior operations leadership, including 5+ in COO or VP-level rolesBackground in healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, or genetics industriesDeep experience in operations, HR, supply chain, and revenue cycle managementTrack record of scaling infrastructure in growth-stage or mid-sized companiesStrong financial and P&L management skillsCollaborative, hands-on leader with a data-driven approachBachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
