About the Role

FOUND is partnering with a growing AI and data technology company to hire a Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO).

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, finance-driven executive to oversee both financial strategy and company-wide operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will play a critical role in building scalable financial and operational infrastructure, driving commercial profitability, and supporting the company's next phase of growth.

We're looking for someone who combines deep financial expertise with a hands-on, operational mindset and thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own financial strategy, cash-flow forecasting, working-capital management, budgeting, and capital planning.
  • Lead commercial deal underwriting, unit economics, pricing strategy, and financial risk assessment.
  • Structure financing solutions and manage relationships with investors, lenders, and external financial partners.
  • Establish scalable operating systems, KPIs, executive scorecards, and cross-functional accountability.
  • Oversee resource allocation, operational priorities, and delivery execution across business units.
  • Implement financial controls, procurement policies, and corporate governance processes.
  • Partner closely with the CEO on strategic planning, fundraising, and long-term growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of leadership experience across strategic finance and operations, ideally as a COO, CFO, VP Finance, or similar executive.
  • Experience scaling an early-to-growth-stage B2B technology, AI, or data-driven company.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, cash-flow management, unit economics, and structured finance.
  • Proven ability to evaluate commercial opportunities, optimize profitability, and drive financial discipline.
  • Experience building operational frameworks, implementing KPIs, and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong track record partnering with founders, executive teams, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Background in AI infrastructure, data licensing, healthcare technology, investment banking, PE/VC, or structured credit is a plus.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles and work on-site.
