Onsite Full Time Management & Leadership

RFE Investment Partners recently acquired a leading residential services company in the Southwest. The business is entering its next phase of growth, currently generating $50 to $100 million in annual sales, and the incoming Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for scaling that figure to $250 to $300 million.

The Role

The Chief Operating Officer reports to the CEO and partners closely with the RFE team. This is a hands-on operating leader accountable for day-to-day performance and for building the systems, processes, and talent required to more than triple the size of the business. The company runs a B2C, asset-light model with field crews, and the COO will scale that model across new markets and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and drive operational and financial performance.
  • Build scalable processes, systems, and metrics to support organic and acquisition-driven growth.
  • Scale a B2C, asset-light field operation across markets while protecting service quality and unit economics.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth.
  • Support M&A activity and integrate acquired businesses into the platform.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operating team.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership as a COO or senior operations executive in a growth environment, ideally scaling a business from roughly $50 million toward $250 million or more in sales.
  • Experience in B2C, asset-light, multi-location or field-services businesses, with residential services, landscaping, or lawn care a plus.
  • Strong sales and marketing acumen, with a record of driving customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • A track record within private equity-backed organizations and buy-and-build strategies.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen with hands-on M&A integration experience.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and the judgment to build alongside an institutional owner.

This is a rare opportunity to take a newly capitalized platform from the lower middle market to scale in a growing, fragmented industry, backed by an experienced private equity partner.
